Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Alexis! 'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia, as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, and a Certified DBT Provider. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, a Master of Social Work, as well as a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy all from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) I am currently completing my doctorate in clinical social work, expected December 2026. I have been in practice for several years and have worked in communities, inpatient hospitals, nonprofits, private practices, and residential treatment settings. I'm trained in DBT, trauma-focused therapy, and Attachment-based therapy and work with individuals and families, specializing in anxiety, trauma, attachment, family concerns, and relationship issues. I additionally work with depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, parenting, and more..

My approach to therapy

I provide a warm and engaging space where clients feel comfortable being their authentic selves. Sessions with me are collaborative as I believe therapy should be a partnership between therapist and client. Having worked with all ages, races, ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses across various settings, my skillset has continued to grow significantly. I treat many concerns utilizing many different modalities based on the client's needs. I ensure that your care is specific to you and your needs. All are welcome here and I give 100% effort in my sessions to assist you with navigating whatever brings you to therapy.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, expect this to be similar to an interview. I will ask various questions about your history, background, and any symptoms. I want as much of your story as possible. We will then work to get to know one another and determine if this is a good fit. Goal setting is a big part of how I practice. We will spend ample time collaborating together to develop tangible goals for you to work on in therapy sessions.
