Great to meet you!

I'm Alexis, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I offer a warm, collaborative space where we can explore the challenges bringing you to therapy with curiosity and compassion. I specialize in psychodynamic psychotherapy, working with teenagers, adults, couples, and families on issues such as trauma, depression, relationship conflict, existential fears, and life transitions. My advanced training in Imago Relationship Therapy informs my work with couples, helping partners deepen understanding and connection. I also facilitate a pregnancy and postpartum support group, providing a supportive space for mothers navigating this profound life stage.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, insight-oriented, and deeply compassionate. I draw from psychodynamic and attachment-based perspectives, helping clients explore how past experiences shape their present lives. With individuals, I support self-understanding and emotional growth, while with couples, I use Imago Relationship Therapy to foster deeper connection and communication. I also integrate dreamwork and exploration of intergenerational patterns for those interested in a deeper, symbolic approach. Above all, I believe healing happens in the context of a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect a supportive and reflective space where you feel heard, understood, and challenged in meaningful ways. My goal is to help you develop deeper self-awareness, uncover patterns that may be holding them back, and cultivate more fulfilling relationships. Through our work, clients often gain greater emotional resilience, clarity, and a stronger sense of agency in their lives. For couples, I focus on fostering connection and communication, helping partners move from conflict to understanding. Ultimately, therapy with me is about creating lasting insight and change in a compassionate, collaborative environment.
