Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Alexis Jordon, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who believes therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and adjustment difficulties. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized because I believe there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to healing.

In our work together, I’ll help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns while developing practical tools to manage challenges and create meaningful change. I incorporate evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs, including cognitive-behavioral, trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, and somatic techniques.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself, or simply ready to grow, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My goal is to create a safe space where you can be your authentic self, explore what’s holding you back, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood without judgment, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

I take time to understand the whole person—not just the symptoms or challenges that brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts, emotions, experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be affecting your well-being. I then work with you to develop practical strategies that fit your goals, personality, and everyday life.

My clinical approach is trauma-informed and integrates evidence-based techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and somatic approaches. I also incorporate skills that help clients better understand and regulate their nervous system, manage difficult emotions, strengthen self-esteem, improve relationships, and navigate life transitions.

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, stress, adjustment difficulties, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and emotional dysregulation. Whether you’re working through something painful from the past or trying to navigate where you are right now, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust, safety, and understanding. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you can be yourself and share at your own pace.

We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re currently experiencing, your personal history, and the areas of your life you would like to improve. I’ll also learn about your strengths, coping strategies, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past.

Together, we’ll identify your initial goals and begin developing a personalized therapy plan. You don’t need to have everything figured out before our first session—sometimes simply knowing that something needs to change is enough to get started.

Most importantly, I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the work ahead. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll move at a pace that feels appropriate and supportive for you.
