Great to meet you!

I believe psychiatric care should be more than a quick medication check. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and actively involved in your care.

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a holistic, whole-body, and functionally focused approach to mental health. I take time to understand not only your symptoms, but also the bigger picture- including sleep, stress, lifestyle, relationships, physical health, and the demands of everyday life. Medication may be part of treatment when appropriate, but it is not the only thing we consider.

Before becoming a psychiatric provider, I worked as a firefighter/paramedic and later as a nurse in both critical care and psychiatric settings. These experiences shaped the way I practice today and gave me a unique understanding of people who are used to pushing through, taking care of others, and functioning under significant stress.

I work with adults experiencing concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, mood disorders, stress, and life transitions. I have a particular interest in working with first responders, healthcare professionals, veterans, and high-performing individuals, while welcoming patients from all backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychiatry is collaborative, thoughtful, and focused on the whole person, not just symptoms. I believe in understanding the factors that influence mental health, including lifestyle, stress, relationships, physical health, and life experiences. When medication is appropriate, I prescribe thoughtfully and aim to use the lowest effective amount while incorporating practical strategies that support long-term resilience, stability, and well-being.

What you can expect from me

Our first appointment is focused on getting to know you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. We'll discuss your current concerns, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle, stressors, strengths, and treatment goals. This comprehensive evaluation helps us gain a clear understanding of what you're experiencing and create a personalized plan that fits your needs. You'll have plenty of time to ask questions, share your story, and work together to determine the best path forward.
