Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and my clinical practice is built on the core belief that every individual possesses the resilience and capacity for change. My professional background includes a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, and I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals, couples, and families through life's most challenging transitions. My therapeutic approach is integrative, primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques within a strong, relational framework. This means we will not only work to understand the root causes of your distress but also develop concrete, practical skills you can use immediately to manage emotions and improve your daily functioning. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, trauma-related issues, and adjustment difficulties arising from major life changes like divorce, job loss, or bereavement. My commitment is to create a non-judgmental, collaborative space where you feel safe, seen, and empowered to achieve your personal goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, relational, and highly skills-focused. As an LCSW, I combine a warm, direct, and collaborative style with a person-in-environment (PIE) perspective, meaning we look beyond your symptoms to understand how your life context, community, and relationships impact your well-being. My specializations center on evidence-based skills, primarily drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you regulate intense emotions and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to actively reframe negative thinking patterns common in anxiety and stress. All therapy is delivered through a trauma-informed lens to ensure safety, empowerment, and choice as we work together to build resilience and achieve lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is designed to be a thoughtful and collaborative step toward change, and you can expect a truly safe and non-judgmental environment built on trust. We will start by thoroughly reviewing confidentiality so you understand the boundaries of our work and feel secure in opening up. The core goals of this initial meeting are to establish our connection and conduct a gentle yet focused assessment. I will guide the conversation by asking about the "why now"—the most pressing concerns, feelings, or stressors that prompted you to seek therapy today—and gather a brief overview of your background and history. By the end of our time, you won't feel "fixed," but you will walk away with a clear, initial direction for our work, a good sense of my collaborative style, and an articulated, meaningful starting objective that sets the course for our therapeutic journey together
