Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Lexy! I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist working with individuals, couples, and families moving through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship strain. My approach is warm, open-minded, and affirming, including for LGBTQIA+ and transgender clients navigating identity, family issues, and change.

My approach to therapy

I work from a trauma-informed, systemic lens: your patterns make sense in the context of your relationships and history, and we look at both together. In session we might use narrative work to help you re-tell a hard chapter on your own terms, family-systems tools to shift a stuck dynamic, or strength-based check-ins to notice what is already working. For couples and families, we build practical ways to communicate before conflict escalates. Sessions are collaborative, never scripted, and paced to what you can hold that week.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is mostly me listening: what brought you in, what you have already tried, and what you want to feel different. From there we set a loose plan together and revisit it as we go. You do not need to arrive with the right words or a tidy story. Most clients start to feel steadier within the first few sessions, less because the problem is solved and more because they are not carrying it alone anymore.
