Great to meet you!

I believe that our mental health is just as important as our physical health—and sometimes, taking care of our emotional well-being can be the first step toward becoming the healthiest version of ourselves.

Finding someone you feel comfortable talking to can be difficult. We all need a space where we can be heard without judgment, feel understood, and receive support as we work toward our personal goals. My goal is to provide that space for you. I strive to meet each client with compassion, authenticity, and respect while helping them identify their strengths, navigate life's challenges, and move toward the version of themselves they want to become.

With over 13 years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan, I have supported children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds through a variety of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a professional background in counseling, mental health, and student support, including experience working with diverse and multicultural populations.

As both a mental health therapist and a social worker, I understand that life challenges often extend beyond what happens in a therapy session. In addition to providing emotional support and therapeutic guidance, I can also help connect clients with helpful resources and supports that may address needs in other areas of their lives.

I believe therapy is a collaborative journey. You are the expert on your life, and I am here to listen, support, challenge, and guide you as we work together toward meaningful growth and the goals that matter most to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where we work together to identify your goals, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change in your life.

I understand that no two people are the same, so I tailor my approach to meet each client's individual needs, experiences, and goals. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and authentic space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, challenges, and experiences.

I take a person-centered and strengths-based approach while incorporating evidence-based strategies to help clients develop insight, build healthy coping skills, navigate challenges, and move toward the best version of themselves. I also recognize that mental health is often connected to other areas of life, including relationships, family, work, school, identity, and access to resources.

As both a therapist and a social worker, I take a holistic approach to supporting my clients. When appropriate, I can help clients identify and connect with resources and supports that may reduce barriers and promote overall well-being.

My goal is to meet you where you are while also helping you grow. Whether you are navigating a difficult season, working through past experiences, managing everyday stress, or simply looking for a space to better understand yourself, we can work together at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel a little uncomfortable, especially when you are meeting someone for the first time and sharing personal parts of your life. I want you to know that you do not have to come into our first session with everything figured out. My goal is to make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and heard from the very beginning.

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you may be experiencing right now, and what you hope to get out of therapy. I will also want to learn about you as a whole person—your experiences, relationships, strengths, challenges, and the things that are important to you.

You can expect me to listen without judgment and to meet you where you are. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable sharing. We will take our time and work together to identify goals that feel meaningful to you.

Most importantly, I want you to feel that therapy is a space where you can be your authentic self. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling a little lighter, knowing that you have someone in your corner who is willing to listen, support you, and walk alongside you as you work toward feeling and living better.

And remember—you don't have to know exactly what you need before you come to therapy. We can figure that out together.
