Great to meet you!

My work experience is with parents (biological, foster, step), group-home/foster youths, the formerly incarcerated and in crisis intervention. My educational background is in Counseling (MFT from SDSU). Clinically, my focus is in individual psychotherapy. My approach is Post-Modern, Narrative Therapy with Motivational Interviewing and Humanistic Therapy concepts.

My approach to therapy

My focus is on supporting individuals in developing the best version of themselves to responsibly face the challenges of life with a sense of courage, honor, and sincerity. I listen deeply to understand my clients' strengths, challenges, values and cultural systems they live within. I want to know what is meaningful for them and challenge them to use their values and competencies to attack their problems with purpose, clarity and good-faith.

What you can expect from me

After our first session, we should both come away with a strong sense of compatibility and hopefulness. Admittedly, my style is not for everyone. Ideal clients are strong in the areas of self-reflection, objectivity and openness to feedback. If we find that we are not a fit, I will gladly support you in any way I can to find a therapist best suited for you.
