Great to meet you!

As a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist with almost 20 years of experience, I believe everyone deserves a supportive, well-trained therapist to help them manage all of life's struggles and challenges. I have specified training in pediatric and adolescent therapy (and all that that entails!) as well as an equivalent number of years treating adults and children (infancy, toddlers, pediatric included) I pay special attention to the therapeutic space, our work and making sure you are receiving the kind of help you are so bravely seeking. I am a safe space and truly enjoy my work with LGBTQIA++ patients.

I graduated with Honors from Pepperdine University in 2006 and was licensed as an MFT in 2009. From 2011-2016 I worked on obtaining my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in Psychoanalysis which gave me advanced training in the therapeutic relationship, attunement to your constellation of thoughts and feelings and a focus on relational patterns and trauma that hold us back from being who we were meant to be.

My approach to therapy

I value a non-judgmental attitude, an open mind and warmth. My style is best described as collaborative, compassionate and insight-oriented. Patients value my directness and honesty. I like to think together about where you have come from and where you are going, and how together we can help you get there. I am a trained relational psychoanalyst which basically means, my goal is to be attuned to your thoughts and feelings while we explore your history and how we can improve your perception of yourself and improve your relationships.

What you can expect from me

In our first session (I offer in person* & telehealth) I want to hear about the challenges that brought you to me in this particular moment, as well as your history. Safety is my primary focus so that you have emotional and intellectual freedom to process, explore and share your story with me so that we can help you feel better and improve the overall quality of your life in all of the ways you desire.
