Great to meet you!

Hi! I am Ali, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker born and raised in Houston, Texas. I attended graduate school at the University of Houston where I received my Masters in Social Work. After a few years of working in the field, I received my LCSW.

I am devoted to helping tweens, teens, and adults who are struggling to navigate depression, anxiety, mood swings, grief, trauma, family dynamics, and interpersonal/ environmental stressors.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Life can be stressful, and for most of us it is very difficult to ask for help when we are feeling alone with our thoughts. This is why I have built my practice off of a client-centered, strengths-based, and solution focused perspective where I value your time and effort during our sessions together. We will collaborate together to build off of your unique qualities and strengths in order to identify healthy coping strategies that are conducive to your lifestyle.

What you can expect from our first session

As your therapist, it is my primary goal to provide a safe, warm, and judgement free environment by using a normalizing/ validating approach. I try to cultivate an atmosphere where we can build a rapport through authentic conversation. I never want the process to feel invasive or intimidating which is why it is very important to me that I provide a space where you can tap into a fun, playful, humorous, and creative side while also feeling challenged and accomplished.
