Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California (PSY34587).

I received my B.A. in Psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara, M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of Nevada, Reno. I completed an APA-accredited clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, where I now work as a Staff Psychologist in the Primary Care Mental Health Clinic.

Throughout my graduate and professional career, I received clinical training in various evidence-based treatment approaches across university, community, and medical settings. I specialize in providing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, and relationship concerns. I also draw from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, Interpersonal Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based interventions.

I serve as the Early Career Representative with the Association of Contextual Behavior Science (ACBS) Veterans and Military Service Members Special Interest Group. I also continue to present and publish peer-reviewed papers in research areas including philosophy, suicide, gerontology, and interpersonal functioning.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, and relationship concerns. I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while integrating Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, Interpersonal Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based interventions.

ACT promotes skills for leaning into, while developing a healthy detachment from, emotional pain; anchoring attention to the present moment, where life is; clarifying values; and building positive habits in the service of living a meaningful life. ACT is among the most research-backed approaches in the field, across social problems and diagnoses.

What you can expect from me

My approach is collaborative, open-ended, and focused on helping you build a life you find fulfilling. I commend you for taking this step and welcome you to reach out for a complementary phone consultation.
