Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing and a professional background in hospital, behavioral health, and substance-use detoxification settings. I am also an educator, which has strengthened my ability to explain mental health conditions and treatment options in a clear, practical, and supportive way.

I understand that seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming. My personal and professional experiences have taught me the importance of meeting people with compassion, cultural sensitivity, patience, and without judgment. I strive to create a safe environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their concerns.

My approach combines comprehensive psychiatric assessment, medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy. My style is warm, attentive, collaborative, and straightforward. I involve clients in treatment decisions and develop individualized plans based on their needs, strengths, experiences, and goals.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, panic symptoms, sleep difficulties, trauma-related symptoms, life transitions, and substance-use concerns. My goal is to help clients better understand their symptoms, develop practical coping skills, improve daily functioning, and achieve lasting emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, culturally sensitive, and nonjudgmental. I take time to listen and understand each client’s concerns, experiences, strengths, and goals. I combine comprehensive psychiatric assessments, evidence-based medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy to create an individualized treatment plan. I encourage clients to participate actively in treatment decisions so they feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, confidential, and nonjudgmental environment. We will discuss current concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, lifestyle, and treatment goals. I will answer questions, explain possible treatment options, and collaborate with the client to develop an individualized care plan. My goal is for every client to leave feeling heard, informed, supported, and hopeful about the next steps.
