Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Alicia Boykin, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and compassion. I support clients working through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem, and behavioral patterns that feel difficult to break.

My work is informed by ongoing training in areas such as the connection between the gut and mental health, healing behavioral compulsions and substance use alongside trauma, eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, neurodivergence in clinical practice, and supporting school-aged youth experiencing avoidance. I’m passionate about staying current and bringing that knowledge into the therapy space in ways that are practical, relatable, and meaningful for you.

I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to show up as your full self—without judgment.

My approach to therapy

I take an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy because no two people experience life the same way. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, strength-based interventions, and creative techniques to meet your unique needs.

My work also incorporates an understanding of how the brain, body, and behaviors are connected—especially when it comes to trauma, compulsions, and emotional regulation in today’s fast-paced, instant-gratification world.

Together, we’ll explore patterns, build insight, and develop tools that help you feel more balanced, grounded, and in control of your life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a space for you to share your story at your own pace. We’ll talk about what’s been bringing you to therapy, what you’d like to work toward, and what support looks like for you.

You can expect a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where you don’t have to have everything figured out. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and hopeful about the process ahead.

From there, we’ll begin building practical tools and insights that support real, lasting change—so you can move through life feeling more aligned, confident, and grounded.
