Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hodges University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University. I have experience working in trauma-focused settings and have provided counseling services at the Center for Trauma Counseling. I also founded my private practice, Supportive Concepts LLC, where I continue serving individuals and families in the community.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that helps individuals process and heal from trauma. While EMDR is widely known for treating trauma, it is also highly effective in addressing grief, anxiety, depression, and other distressing life experiences.

In addition to EMDR, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Play Therapy techniques. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating trauma, life transitions, anxiety, mood disorders, and relationship challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I work collaboratively with each client, meeting them where they are and tailoring treatment to their unique needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and safe as we begin getting to know each other.

We will talk about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any relevant background information. I may ask questions about your history, symptoms, and goals to better understand how to support you. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapy process and share what you hope to gain from our work together.

You will not be pressured to share anything you are not ready to discuss. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and by the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals and next steps for your treatment.
