Great to meet you!

I’m Alicia, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in education, trauma-informed care, and higher-level mental health settings. I hold two master’s degrees in counseling and specialize in supporting women experiencing anxiety, burnout, trauma, low self-esteem, and identity concerns. I’m especially passionate about helping professional Black women who are used to carrying everything for everyone else begin making space for themselves.

My approach to therapy

My approach is direct, empowering, and grounded in humor. I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and DBT-informed skills to help clients better understand their patterns, reconnect with their values, and make meaningful changes. For clients who desire it, I can also incorporate their Christian faith into the counseling process.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, what has and hasn’t been working, and what you hope will change. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you can be honest without judgment or pressure. By the end of the session, we’ll identify your initial goals and begin developing a plan that feels realistic and meaningful to you.
