Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who holds a bachelor's degree in psychology, master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Juris Doctor degree. A large percentage of experience has been gained from a mental health setting where clients were faced with varied mental and emotional problems, and individual contract work. I have the ability to provide clinical services to a client population, age range or diagnostic grouping based upon specific skills and experience. I have sat on Child Abuse Review Teams (C.A.R.T.) and Foster Care Review Boards. While trained in using the Duluth Model as it relates to domestic violence, I hold certifications in Divorce Mediation, Sexual Assault Response - Victims Advocate, and Sexual Assault Response - Bystander.

My approach to therapy

Confucius said, "To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right." I use this same mindset when working with clients to provide comprehensive, confidential services for individuals, couples, or families which will assist them in acquiring emotional and psychological freedom resulting in their worlds made right.

What you can expect from me

In our initial session, I create a secure and confidential environment where clients can feel at ease sharing their experiences. This allows me to learn more about them as we explore their background, discuss the reasons for seeking support, identify current challenges, clarify goals, and define what they hope to accomplish through therapy.
