Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Alina Naik, and I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner committed to providing holistic, compassionate care to individuals navigating a range of challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that the mind and body are deeply connected, and that healing happens when both are nurtured with attention and empathy. I believe in the power of community, recognizing that growth doesn’t happen in isolation, but through connection, belonging, and shared understanding. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honors and a certificate in Public Health from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. I also completed my Yoga Teacher Training certificate in Rishikesh, India.

My approach to therapy

I aim to meet each person where they are, creating a space that feels safe, collaborative, and genuine. I integrate psychiatric care with mindfulness, psychotherapy, and other evidence-based approaches, drawing on my training as a certified yoga instructor to support resilience and well-being. I also help people explore their sense of purpose, identity, and meaning while recognizing and navigating the effects of harmful systems and societal pressures. I'm especially passionate about fostering equity in mental health and making care accessible and affirming for each individual.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my focus will be on getting to know you — your story, your goals, and what brings you to care at this time. Together, we’ll explore your mental, emotional, and physical health to get a clear picture of your needs. While medication can be very helpful for many people, I understand it’s not the right path for everyone. My goal is to work with you to identify treatment options that feel aligned with your values and set a foundation for your wellness journey.
