Anxiety, PTSD, and Stress

Great to meet you!

My clients have described me as a gentle, calming presence, perceptive, and a compassionate listener. Over the last 9 years I have worked as a mental health counselor in various settings. I'm passionate about working with adults who feel like their past is negatively affecting their present. I am skilled at treating individuals with childhood trauma as well as those who have experienced traumatic or stressful events in adulthood.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I approach counseling from a trauma-informed lens, focusing on life experiences and how they impact our emotions, body, beliefs, and behaviors. I highlight my client’s strengths and inner resources and we utilize and build on them in the course of treatment. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Ego State Interventions, and Motivational Interviewing.

What you can expect from our first session

We will begin to get to know each other. I will ask you about your concerns and experiences. We will form a plan together that meets your needs.

I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person. We are all valuable and deserving of care and respect. I also value fidelity; I take care in building a relationship with each of my clients characterized by trust, security, and compassion. I am faithful in showing up to sessions ready to listen, support, and help clients reach their goals.
