Great to meet you!

Welcome to my profile. I am a holistic therapist specializing in a variety of evidence-based and novel mind-body therapies. I love working with older teenagers and adults who have good insight and are ready for real change! I also have a special interest in working with those with Complex PTSD and repeating relationship challenges. While sessions are tailored to meet your individual needs, I commonly incorporate EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy into our work.

My approach to therapy

I show up in sessions as my authentic, human self so will sometimes make jokes, will tear up a little with you, or might mention something from my life that is relevant.

I also bring a lot of lightness, warmth, intuition, and calming energy into sessions providing clients with a feeling of being cared for, accepted, and understood.

Along with what I bring personality-wise into sessions, I also approach our work together holistically which means we will use a variety of techniques and tools to explore more than just your thoughts. We will also work with what your body is communicating, what your nervous system is still holding onto, and what patterns keep repeating in your life and relationships.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we will begin getting to know each other. All first therapy sessions begin with a brief process called informed consent in which I will explain things like confidentiality, how to contact me between sessions, what to do in case of a mental health emergency, etc. I will ask you questions about your life and what led you to seek out therapy and will give you the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.

During this first meeting, new clients often note that they quickly feel at ease, comfortable, sometimes a sense of relief, and looking forward to the next session.
