Dr. Alisha Rorer was born and raised in Alabama. She has a B.A. in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University, a M.S. in Family Studies: Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Kentucky, and a Ph.D. in Family Therapy from Saint Louis University. Within the large scope of relationships and attachment, issues related to women, fathering, couples who struggle with emotional connection and/or infidelity, and areas of trauma are of special interest.
My approach is to meet clients where they are, help with providing insight, and with consistent changed behavior.
My goal in therapy is to help you share your story in a non-judgmental and emotionally safe environment that leads to healing, growth, and change. I believe that when we talk about our feelings they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.
