Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who earned my clinical license in 2024. My journey in social work has been driven by a passion for serving individuals across every stage of life and helping them overcome barriers to living meaningful, fulfilling lives.

Before becoming a licensed clinician, I spent more than eight years as an Early Intervention Specialist and Supervisor with Project Wiggles and Giggles, where I worked with infants and toddlers from birth to age three who were experiencing developmental delays and disabilities. This experience strengthened my understanding of child development, family systems, and the importance of early support in creating lifelong positive outcomes.

In 2023, I obtained my Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential and began serving as a Licensed Mental Health Professional at Tutwiler Prison for Women.

Working within the correctional setting has allowed me to provide individual and group therapy to women facing complex mental health challenges. I facilitate therapeutic groups of more than 30 incarcerated individuals, fostering hope, resilience, accountability, and preparation for successful reintegration into their communities. My work emphasizes that every person is more than their diagnosis or circumstances. I believe in understanding the whole person by recognizing the impact of trauma, life experiences, and environmental factors on mental health.

My clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing Borderline Personality Disorder, Antisocial Personality Disorder, Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED), Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment disorders, grief, and kleptomania. I am committed to creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their challenges while building the skills and confidence needed to achieve lasting change.

My approach to therapy

I take the time to establish a strong rapport with each client because healing cannot be rushed. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences, exploring your emotions, and working through life's challenges at your own pace.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnoses, I see the whole person. Together, we will identify your strengths, understand how past experiences may be influencing your present, and develop practical strategies that empower you to move forward with confidence and resilience.

My goal is not to tell you how to live your life, but to walk alongside you, offering guidance, support, and evidence-based interventions while helping you discover the strength and abilities that already exist within you. I believe every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and transformation, regardless of where they are in their journey.

My philosophy is simple: Healing happens through connection, understanding, empowerment, and hope. And no matter where your journey begins, I believe it is never too late to dream, grow, and create the life you deserve.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, your personal history, your current concerns, and what you hope to achieve through counseling. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what's important to you, and decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.

I understand that opening up takes courage, so I never expect clients to share more than they're ready to. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while beginning to identify your strengths, challenges, and goals for treatment.
