Great to meet you!
I have more than 20 years of experience working collaboratively with adult clients to alleviate symptoms, change behavioral patterns, and improve relationships. I typically work with clients who are confronting anxiety and depression, relationship issues, unresolved family-of-origin conflict, life/career transitions, self-esteem and identity issues, health concerns, and grief/loss. I specialize in working with women at mid- and late-life, new mothers, and interracial/intercultural couples.
I hold master's degrees in clinical psychology from Antioch University and creative writing from Brown University. I worked in the fields of writing, government, and public relations prior to psychotherapy. My curiosity about human behavior and desire to support others on life's journey were factors in my becoming a therapist.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy fitness and staying active, am an avid reader, and appreciate discovering new places and perspectives through travel. I also have a regular meditation practice and value the role of mindfulness in everyday life.
