Great to meet you!

Welcome!

I am a trained psychoanalyst/psychotherapist who works with individuals who present with a variety of challenges including anxiety; stress; grief/loss; chronic pain; overthinking and lack of motivation; employment issues; career change and gender and sexual identity. I have over a decade of experience working with patients as well as my own private practice.

My character and compassion as a therapist create an environment that utilizes warmth and empowerment yet is secure and completely confidential. I am a down-to-earth professional who is realistic and practical, recoginzing that that it takes hard work to take a look at yourself and admit that change can be scary. I work with each patient at their own pace tailored to what works for them. My patients learn to rely more on their inner world and less on medication.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered and relational. I use a combination of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy to treat the full range of psychological and emotional troubles. In psychotherapy, we can identify and change unhealthy emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. In psychoanalysis, we explore the unconscious and conscious mind and bring repressed fears and conflicts into the conscious mind by techniques such as dream interpretation and free association.

Whether once or twice per week, short or long term, I help patients become less controlled by debilitating feelings and symptoms that may be interrupting their life. I

have a trained awareness to help you deal with what is interfering and disrupting your life. Working remotely, I create safe, secure environment that is welcoming.

What you can expect from me

Clients who work with me will be seen, heard and listened to in a no-judgement zone while building safety, respect and trust. As you find language to put to your feelings, you will begin to develop an awareness of the issues/challenges that brought you into therapy.

Through our work together we will explore the complexities of any issue that you bring into therapy and work through those challenges in order for you to lead a more fulfilling life.
