Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m a licensed, board certified therapist. I treat clients in NY, NJ, CT, and VA. I work with adolescents (13-18yo), adults, and, couples who are challenged by anxiety, addiction, anger, and other mental health issues. In addition, I am a part of and work with BIPOC and LGTBQIA communities and am a Gottman (7P's) certified couples workshop leader. I also offer professional supervision for LMHC and LMHC-LP professionals. Believing you are the expert in your life my hope is to act as a beacon of light on a path that sometimes goes dark.

My approach to therapy

I am a professional with 24 years of experience. I practice from a multifaceted approach including person-centered, DBT, CBT, and motivational interviewing. My style is direct, solution-focused, and supportive to help clients move forward rather than staying stuck in their challenge areas. To my future clients: In Harry Potter, Prisoner of Azkaban, Dumbledore says "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

What you can expect from me

A 45-55 minute session which includes client participation and provider feedback including techniques to practice. Provider will also assign homework to help support what is learned during session. Client is expected to come to each session prepared with what they want to talk about. Session will be considered missed and charged a no show fee if you are 15 minutes late.

NOTE: Initial intake does not initiate a professional relationship, both parties must agree to work together for a professional relationship to be initiated.
