Great to meet you!

Hi, I am a Licensed, Board-Certified Therapist providing psychotherapy services to clients in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Virginia. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples experiencing anxiety, addiction, anger, relationship challenges, and a wide range of other mental health concerns.

As a member of and advocate for the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, I strive to provide affirming, culturally responsive, and inclusive care. I am also a certified Gottman Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work (7P's) Couples Workshop Leader, helping couples strengthen communication, deepen connection, and build healthier relationships.

In addition to providing therapy, I offer professional clinical supervision for Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit (LMHC-LP) professionals, supporting their growth and development in clinical practice.

Believing you are the expert in your life my hope is to act as a beacon of light on a path that sometimes goes dark.

My approach to therapy

With more than 24 years of clinical experience, I utilize an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to each client's unique needs. My therapeutic practice incorporates Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to support meaningful and lasting change.

My therapeutic style is direct, collaborative, solution-focused, and empowering. I work alongside clients to identify their strengths, develop practical strategies, and build the confidence and skills needed to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and create lasting positive change.

To my future clients: In Harry Potter, Prisoner of Azkaban, Dumbledore says "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

What you can expect from me

Each individual therapy session lasts approximately 45–55 minutes and is designed to be collaborative and goal-oriented. Sessions include active client participation, clinical feedback, and the introduction of evidence-based strategies and techniques to practice between appointments. Homework or skill-building exercises may be assigned to reinforce concepts discussed during the session and support continued progress.

Clients are encouraged to arrive on time and prepared with topics, concerns, or goals they would like to address. Arriving more than 15 minutes late will result in the session being considered a missed appointment and subject to the practice's no-show fee in accordance with the cancellation policy.

NOTE: Initial intake does not initiate a professional relationship, both parties must agree to work together for a professional relationship to be initiated.
