Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and U.S. Air Force veteran. I specialize in helping people heal from emotional wounds, anxiety, trauma, and relationship stress. My style is warm, affirming, and down-to-earth—I’ll hold a safe space for you, but I’m also honest and gently direct when you need support seeing patterns or trying something new.

Over the years, I’ve worked with almost every population: adults and teens in individual telehealth, people who are incarcerated in prison settings, residents in nursing homes, children and families, and students in school-based settings. That range of experience helps me meet you exactly where you are, without judgment.

I pull from evidence-based approaches (like CBT and trauma-informed care), and I also value creativity—journaling, metaphors, and emotional education often show up in our work together. I welcome LGBTQ+ clients, creatives, parents, professionals, and anyone who feels “stuck” but ready for change.

I now accept insurance through Headway, which helps verify your benefits and manage billing. Sessions take place online, so you can show up from wherever you are in Georgia. My goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and understood while we move at a pace that feels safe, but still makes room for growth and healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach is creative, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I use creative therapy for almost everything—this might look like journaling, storytelling, music, metaphors, inner child work, or visual tools to help you put words and images to what you’re feeling. I’ve found that creativity often helps people access parts of themselves that “talk therapy” alone can’t always reach.

Underneath that creativity, I still lean on evidence-based approaches like CBT, parts work, and emotional-regulation skills. Together, we’ll explore your patterns, build new coping tools, and make meaning out of your experiences at a pace that feels safe for you. My goal is to help you feel seen, empowered, and more connected to your authentic self—not just to manage symptoms, but to truly grow.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, conversational, and low-pressure space. We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been carrying lately, and what you hope will feel different in your life. I’ll ask some questions about your history, supports, and any previous therapy experiences so I can understand the bigger picture.

Because I use creative therapy for most everything, I might offer gentle options like journaling prompts, metaphors, or visual tools—but only if that feels comfortable for you. There is no pressure to “tell everything” at once; we’ll move at a pace that feels safe.

By the end of the first session, we’ll begin to outline some initial goals and a loose plan for our work together, and you’ll have space to ask me any questions about my style, scheduling, or what to expect next. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and a little less alone with what you’re going through.
