Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Alison and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Starting therapy can be nerve racking and even scary to some. I work with children and adults navigating through life changes, anxiety, depression and burnout. I've been a therapist for 8 years and in the last year I shifted my focus to working with parents struggling with burnout and anxiety. Together, we'll work towards helping you reach your therapy goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy to create a safe and non-judgmental space to assist you in navigating the stressors you're experiencing. Everyone has thier own unique experiences and I believe that treatment should be tailored specific to your needs. I like to use CBT to manage intrusive thoughts and help keep you grounded. I also like to use a client centered approach because I believe that a genuine connection and empathetic understanding are important in helping individuals make progress. I will be here to listen and support you through your journey.

What you can expect from me

For our first session, I'd like you to have the opportunity to share your experience and what goals you're hoping to reach in therapy. I'd want us to address concerns, reasons for starting therapy and to establish a connection. I aim to create a safe space that allows you to feel comfortable, welcomed and secure.
