Dr. Alissa Thompson

Hello, my name is Alissa and I am a board-certified, doctorly trained psychiatric nurse practitioner and certified addiction specialist. I am dedicated to expanding access to compassionate, judgment-free care for children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in neurodivergence—including ADHD, autism, and learning or communication differences—along with co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, binge eating, and alcohol, cannabis, opioid/ kratom, and stimulant misuse. LGBTQIA+ humans are welcome!

Drawing on my own lived experience with ADHD, I offer a transparent, whole-person approach that combines thoughtfully chosen medications with targeted lab work, nutrition, and lifestyle support—to get to the root of what's going on. I collaborate closely with your therapist and broader care team.

Within our sessions, you can expect a deeper exploration of factors impacting your symptoms, full transparency of the pros and cons of medication and non-medication treatment options, and to be fully included in your care plan. You will be treated with respect and without judgement. Stimulants, suboxone, vivitrol, and rarely used, non-daily benzodiazepines are considered within this practice, if deemed a safe and beneficial option.
