Great to meet you!

I am a clinical psychologist based in Hawaii and licensed in both Hawaii and Colorado. I have been an athlete and self-professed nerd my whole life, and I like to push myself to tap the limits of human potential. My care and compassion for others are part of what drives me to be at my best so that in using my knowledge as a psychologist, I can help others to tap into their best also.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I guess that if you are reading this, you are in some state of emotional pain. Just as with physical pain, we want immediate relief before addressing the true cause of the hurt, and this sums up my therapeutic approach. I aim to provide symptom relief quickly through effective reorganizing of the situation and developing coping strategies that work. The deeper process of identifying causes of distress takes more time but ensures that you can evolve into a more empowered and happier life.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients should feel heard and understood, and have a clearer sense of what is bothering them, along with a clearer sense of what to do about it, whether from a position of acceptance, change, or both.
