Great to meet you!

Seeking therapy takes courage, and I'm glad you're here. My name is Alix, and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to creating a compassionate, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.

While I've worked with individuals across many stages of life, my practice has evolved to focus primarily on supporting women ages 18-60. I'm passionate about creating a space where women feel safe to explore their experiences, reconnect with themselves, strengthen their voices, and learn to advocate for their needs with confidence. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, burnout, self-esteem concerns, or simply feeling overwhelmed, therapy can provide an opportunity to slow down, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful change.

I believe therapy is about more than reducing symptoms—it's about building insight, resilience, and confidence so you can create a life that feels authentic and aligned with who you are.

My approach to therapy

I like to think of therapy as a journey where we're co-captains. You bring your lived experience, values, and goals, while I bring clinical knowledge, guidance, and support. Together, we'll navigate challenges, celebrate progress, and work toward creating lasting change.

Because every person has a unique story, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I tailor treatment to your individual needs, drawing from evidence-based practices while honoring your strengths, values, and personal experiences. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine, and I strive to create a relationship where you feel comfortable being honest, asking difficult questions, and exploring new perspectives.

I also believe therapy doesn't have to feel heavy all the time. When appropriate, I'll sprinkle in humor because sometimes laughter can be just as healing as reflection. I also incorporate psychoeducation throughout our work together, helping you better understand why you respond the way you do and how your thoughts, emotions, and experiences influence one another. My goal is for you to leave each session not only feeling supported, but also feeling more informed, empowered, and equipped with tools you can use in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I'll take time to understand what brought you to therapy, learn about your experiences, and explore what you hope to gain from our work together. There's no pressure to have everything figured out—this is simply the beginning of the conversation.

Together, we'll identify goals that feel meaningful to you and develop a plan that reflects your needs and priorities. I'll create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can show up as your authentic self.

As therapy continues, you can expect me to be present, compassionate, and engaged. My hope is that you'll leave each session with greater insight, a deeper understanding of yourself, and practical strategies to help you navigate life's challenges with confidence.

Healing doesn't happen overnight, and you don't have to navigate it alone. Whether you're taking your first step into therapy or returning after some time away, I'm honored to be part of your journey and support you every step of the way.
