Allegra Straus

I am licensed clinical Social Worker in practice working with children, adolescents, adults and families for 25 years. I also work accordingly as a certified Life Coach. I've worked within public school and foster care systems, as a Supervisor/Director of evidence based programs for families with adolescents on probation, managed and provided clinical treatment in group homes for severely traumatized adolescent girls and I've worked exclusively as a private practice therapist for over a decade.

My own struggles as a teen/young adult inspired me to become a Social Worker and ultimately a Therapist. I enjoy working with an array of people with varied presenting issues, but I specialize in treating adolescent girls and women with a history of loss and trauma. With extensive trauma-informed professional and personal experience, and as a divorced mom of 3 thriving young adults, I authentically connect with my clients to promote vulnerability and create space for healing and transformation.

With many skills, years of education, experience, training and clinical approaches, my most valuable asset is an ability to comfort, connect with and engage virtually anyone in the therapeutic process.
