Great to meet you!

I became interested in the field of Psychology as an undergraduate at the University of Virginia after enrolling in a Developmental Psychology course and being introduced to Attachment Theory. I am knowledgeable and practice a wide variety of therapeutic approaches (e.g., Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness-Based, Motivational-Interviewing, etc.); but I believe the quality of the attachments/bonds an individual forms early in life may play a significant role in later relationships.

My approach to therapy

I am trained and practice several therapeutic approaches. After an initial assessment, I develop a treatment plan (with input from the patient) tailoring an approach to the specific patient's needs. I believe the ability to empathize, compassionate listening while monitoring the quality and effectiveness of communication are key to successful therapy.

What you can expect from me

I want patients to feel and trust that I am focused on their well-being and that we have a mutual goal of resolving the issues that brought them into therapy.
