Welcome to the first step in your healing journey. I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in trauma, children/families, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, substance abuse and relationships. I have been licensed for over 12 years. I attended New York University for my master's program with a specialty in child welfare. I also attended Nova Southeastern University, focusing in psychology and substance abuse studies.
I use a strength based and collaborative perspective when working with all of my clients. I am Certified in EMDR, or eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, which allows clients to reprocess negative experiences in a more positive lens. EMDR is an evidenced based technique which assists anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, phobias, and low self esteem. I also use Cognitive behavioral & solution focused modalities to assist clients in managing emotions and symptoms.
I create a safe space for my clients by letting them control what and when they share. I will always give my suggestions as best practice and allow the client to have a say in their goals as we embark on this journey of healing together!
