Great to meet you!

I believe supportive counseling is an integral part of taking care of oneself and that individuals should be living lives that feel valuable and meaningful. The work we do in sessions helps us to move through challenges, transitions, difficulty coping and adjusting. I have extensive experience working with individuals coping with life transitions, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and stressors including cancer, chronic illnesses and loss.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is highly individualized. I approach all sessions with a sense of warmth, empathy and humility. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in my practice, but remain flexible depending on the client needs. I like my clients to leave sessions feeling they have gained something of value.

What you can expect from me

First sessions typically will involve me getting to know more about what brings you to therapy now. I am typically present-focused, but do collect some background information that will help us work most effectively together. It is most important to me to start to build our working relationship and set goals and intentions for our time together.
