Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Allison and I am a licensed mental health counselor. I graduated from Capella University and have 5+ years experience providing therapy. I most enjoy working with adults who struggle with emotional and behavioral control, the highly sensitive people of the world.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I don't believe in lost causes. I believe that we all have inherent worth and wisdom. My approach to therapy is very structured, direct, and heavy on validation. I use DBT to help clients learn and implement skills to make positive, lasting changes in their lives.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients generally leave session with a new skill or homework to practice and (hopefully) some new insights that can help along the way. We focus on changing what we can and accepting what we cannot.

Allison's style is

Empowering
Solution-oriented
Warm
