Great to meet you!

I have been a therapist since 1985. My degree is in Transpersonal Psychology where spirituality and psychology meet. I took ten years off from practice to raise my kids and then started up again working with new moms. In 2010, I taught Kabbalah. My specialty is working with people who are on a spiritual path or are religious. I survived my own cancer treatment in 2009 and am fully in remission. I also saw my husband through his demise from Dementia in 2020. These kinds of difficult experiences have given me the strength to rise again after being beaten down. I can help you do that too.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is intuitive. I look for the pain and uncover the truth. Mostly, I help you see where life has triggered your insecurities and how your thoughts and feelings take you to a dark place. Then, the work is about finding the light again. I offer suggestions and advice when asked. Sometimes just changing one or two behaviors can make a huge difference. I am warm, easy to talk to and listen very well with a compassionate heart. I will also be honest and direct when it seems necessary.

What you can expect from me

Usually the first session is a huge download where you get to tell me everything that's going on and the difficulties you've been through. You might feel nervous at first but will melt with my responses and questions. It's possible we will uncover a quick solution but I always encourage people to give it at least 3 sessions before deciding that I'm the right therapist for you. Sometimes, it takes that long for me to really understand you and get a sense of what's going on so that I can help. Hopefully though, after only one session, you'll get a feel of the direction we can go.
