Allison Hagen

Hello and welcome! I have been privileged enough to work with youth and their families for 14 years. After graduating from the University of Denver, I supported youth in a shelter setting. Then I transitioned to in-home therapy for youth and families, before providing individual and family therapy in a healthcare setting. I have enjoyed working with youth of all ages, and am especially passionate about working with adolescents and young adults. Being an adolescent is tough, especially today. I am honored to provide youth with a safe space to process challenges, as well as celebrate successes.

Therapy is for you so it is really important that you feel safe and comfortable in our time together. I will work with you to help create goals for therapy and build off your existing support system and strengths. I am careful to meet you were you are in your journey and tailor interventions based on your needs, but tend to use therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness strategies.

Our first session will be focused on getting to know one another. This will be a time for you to share your hopes for therapy and how I can support you. I am also mindful that it is difficulty to share personal experiences when first meeting so share at your pace, we can adjust as we go!
