Great to meet you!

Allison Moore is a compassionate Christian counselor who integrates faith-based principles with evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to support clients navigating depression, anxiety, and trauma. She believes healing happens best when individuals feel both spiritually supported and clinically understood.

Allison works from a client-centered, collaborative approach. She helps clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and strengthen their emotional resilience — while also honoring the role that faith, scripture, and spiritual growth may play in their healing journey.

She has experience working with Veterans and understands the unique challenges they may face, including trauma exposure, transition stress, identity shifts, and family reintegration. Allison provides a respectful, grounded space where clients can process their experiences without judgment.

Her style is warm, calm, and structured. Clients can expect sessions that are both encouraging and practical — combining reflection, skill-building, and meaningful conversations that lead to measurable growth.

If you are looking for a counselor who values both clinical excellence and spiritual integration, Allison strives to create a safe space where you can heal, grow, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative, compassionate, and structured. As a Christian counselor, I honor the role faith may play in a client’s healing process while also utilizing evidence-based practices, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to address depression, anxiety, and trauma.

I believe our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply connected. In our work together, we will identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore how past experiences may be influencing present struggles, and develop practical tools to create meaningful change. For clients who desire it, I incorporate biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual reflection in a way that feels respectful and aligned with their beliefs.

My style is collaborative and goal-oriented. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard and understood, while also gently challenging you toward growth. Whether you are navigating trauma, life transitions, or emotional distress, my goal is to help you build resilience, gain clarity, and move forward with confidence and hope.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a time for us to get to know each other in a safe and supportive environment. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and respected from the very beginning.

We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions about your emotional history, current stressors, relationships, faith background (if relevant to you), and any past counseling experiences. This helps me understand the full picture of your needs.

We will also begin identifying initial goals and discussing how therapy can support those goals. If you are open to integrating faith into sessions, we can discuss what that would look like for you. If not, we will focus fully on evidence-based therapeutic strategies such as CBT to address concerns like depression, anxiety, or trauma.

Most importantly, the first session is not about having everything figured out — it’s about starting the process. You can expect a calm, structured, and collaborative conversation where you are met with compassion and practical guidance.
