Great to meet you!

I believe that even when things are not going well, people are still doing the best that they know how. Suffering is often caused by a person not knowing how to use a specific skill or resource, or "knowing" something about themselves or others that isn't so. My aim is to help people recognize and use their strengths, resources and skills to not only feel better, but to be better!

My approach to therapy

My focus is to pay more attention to what is right with a person, rather than diagnostic categories, labels or what is wrong. By focusing on existing strengths and new skills, we create better futures instead of remaining stuck in the past. People are so much more than they think, and contrary to mainstream thinking, people are NOT their diagnoses.

What you can expect from me

Long term change happens in a short amount of time through effective use of skills. It is my goal to teach these in a way that honors each person's strengths and best hopes. My own hope is that your therapy experience is one of support, partnership and action!
