Great to meet you!

For over twenty years, I've worked with children and families through trauma, most recently as director of a residential treatment program. I'm now bringing steady, experienced care to private practice, working with children, teens, and families carrying anxiety, grief, and hard experiences. I'd love to help your family find solid ground again.

My approach to therapy

My work is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, including trauma-focused CBT and family-centered approaches, because I've seen how much lasting change happens when the whole family understands what's going on and has real tools to use at home. In session, we work on naming what trauma, anxiety, or grief actually feel like day to day, then build concrete coping skills together, not just talk about the problem. I bring the same calm, structured presence I built over two decades supporting kids and families through some of their hardest moments. Parents are part of the process: we look at family communication and patterns together, so progress at home keeps pace with progress in session.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting the full picture: what's bringing your family in, what's already been tried, and what you're hoping changes. From there we build a plan together, with clear, practical steps for both the therapy room and home. You should walk away from our work feeling steadier, better understood, and like your family has real tools instead of just another appointment.
