Great to meet you!

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, struggling with relationships, carrying difficult experiences from your past, or simply feeling stuck in patterns you'd like to change, you don't have to figure it all out alone. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, particularly young adults and adults, through life's complexities. I provide a welcoming, judgment-free space that affirms diverse identities, relationships, and life experiences, including those within LGBTQ+ and other historically marginalized communities. My style is warm, genuine, and down-to-earth, with a little humor when it fits. I believe you deserve to feel heard, respected, and empowered to create a life that feels meaningful to you.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is personal, and no two journeys look the same. With over 20 years of experience in social work and behavioral health, I use an integrative approach, drawing from a variety of therapeutic methods to create an experience that reflects your individual needs, experiences, and goals. My work combines EMDR and trauma-focused approaches to help process difficult experiences and challenge negative beliefs, along with somatic techniques to explore how stress and emotions affect the body. I incorporate humanistic, psychodynamic, and relational approaches to better understand how past experiences, relationships, and patterns influence your present life. I also use motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, behavioral strategies, and strengths-based techniques to help you recognize your abilities, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful change. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or questions about identity, we'll work together to find approaches that feel helpful and authentic to you. My goal is to provide a supportive, affirming space where you can explore new perspectives, build positive experiences, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel a little intimidating, and that's completely normal! Our first session will take place through a secure, confidential telehealth video appointment, allowing you to connect from a comfortable, private space of your choosing. This initial session is typically more structured than future appointments, but we'll keep things relaxed and conversational. We'll begin with introductions, review confidentiality and what you can expect from therapy, and answer any questions you may have. Next, I'll ask about your background, current concerns, relationships, and what brought you to therapy. This helps me better understand your experiences and what matters most to you. We'll then explore your goals, discuss possible treatment approaches, and begin developing a plan together. I'll also explain what future sessions may look like and how often we might meet. You don't need to prepare anything special or share more than you're comfortable with. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and confident about our next steps.
