Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and I see my role as being a steady guide alongside you on your journey toward healing. As a mother to a son with autism, I have a deep, personal understanding of what families navigating disabilities and learning differences experience, and I feel especially called to support both children and the parents who love them. My background includes work in schools and applied behavior analysis, which has given me practical skills that reach well beyond the therapy room. I also work closely with individuals living with anxiety and depression who need a genuine support system. I lead with an open heart and an open mind, and I believe there is always a way to help each client find their path forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is kind, compassionate, and grounded in truly listening. I believe every person is different, and that no single style works for everyone, so I tailor our work to fit you. I'm happy to offer honest, thoughtful feedback, and I genuinely welcome your feedback too, because I see therapy as a partnership. I primarily work with children, teens, adults, and parents, including families raising children with disabilities and learning differences, as well as individuals managing anxiety and depression. My modalities include trauma-informed care, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and I also use play therapy with my younger clients to help them express themselves in ways that feel natural and safe. My hope is that our work together helps you build practical coping skills, greater self-understanding, and lasting, meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

You can expect our first session to be a warm, welcoming space focused on getting to know you. I believe therapy should move at the pace you set. If you feel comfortable opening up right away, I'll meet you with compassion and kindness every step of the way. And if you need more time to share your experiences and struggles, that is completely okay too. There is no pressure to have it all figured out. Setting goals is a team effort, and together we'll begin shaping a direction that feels right for you.

In our first sessions, we'll explore questions like: What would healing or progress look like for you? What is bothering you the most? What changes would you hope to see in your life? These conversations help guide our work together and ensure therapy is focused on what matters most to you.
