Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ally Yankauskas Swecker, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Marietta, Georgia. I help moms, preteens, teens, and families who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or stretched thin by life’s challenges. You may be trying to support your child while also carrying your own stress, anxiety, or emotional exhaustion. Your child or teen may be struggling with anxiety, depression, identity questions, self-esteem, or a major life change that has left your family feeling unsure of what to do next. Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and begin finding a steadier path forward. With over 7 years of experience across community-based services, residential treatment, and private practice, I offer thoughtful support that meets you or your child where you are. My goal is to help clients feel safe, supported, and more confident as they navigate difficult seasons and work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely comfortable, respected, and never judged. In our work together, I create a supportive space where you, your child, or your teen can talk openly about what is going on while also learning tools to manage emotions, cope with stress, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. I understand that every family has a different story, so I tailor therapy to each client’s needs, strengths, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether I’m supporting a mom who is trying to regain balance, a preteen working through anxiety, or a teen facing depression, identity concerns, or life transitions, I focus on helping clients build insight, strengthen resilience, and improve communication and connection within themselves and their relationships.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a conversation that is caring, thoughtful, and focused on understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about the concerns that feel most important right now, whether that means your own stress as a mom, emotional or behavioral challenges your child is facing, or patterns affecting the whole family. I’ll take time to learn more about your experiences, your strengths, and what you hope will feel different through therapy. From there, we’ll begin identifying clear goals and discussing what support may be most helpful moving forward. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and with a better sense of direction. Therapy does not require you to have everything figured out before you begin. You just need a place to start, and I’m here to help you take that next step with compassion and care.
