Great to meet you!
My approach to therapy is both person centered work and creative arts therapy. Based on this belief, the client is the expert on their own life utilizing their own unique experiences, perspectives, and goals and has the inherent ability to solve their problems and achieve their full potential. Utilizing strength based talk therapy, creative arts therapy, I incorporate drama, art, creative writing, movement, music, poetry, story-work and role plays to help clients express and:
- Make sense of their experiences
- Find new ways to look at problems
- Name and express their feelings
- Find new ways to connect with people and find healthy and clear ways to communicate
- Work through past traumas and develop safe coping tools
- Set healthy boundaries
- Find coping tools to decrease anxiety and set healthy boundaries
- Creative interventions to increase self esteem
