Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Dr. Allyson Kellum-Aguirre, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Therapist.

I specialize in helping individuals break unhealthy cycles, set boundaries, and build healthier relationships. With 15 years of experience in mental health and private practice, I provide a compassionate and supportive space for clients navigating difficult family dynamics, relationship challenges, and personal growth. I received my master's degree in 2010, clinical license in 2015, and doctoral degree in 2021.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including CBT, EMDR, attachment-based (to name a few) and I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs. Whether you're struggling with past trauma, people-pleasing, or emotional burnout, I'm here to help you heal, set healthier patterns, and reclaim your peace.

My approach to therapy

My therapy style is warm, direct, and deeply supportive. I believe in getting to the root of unhealthy patterns while also providing practical tools to help you navigate real-life challenges. I take a collaborative approach, you're the expert in your own life, and I’m here to guide, support, and challenge you in ways that promote growth and healing.

I specialize in working with individuals who are breaking free from dysfunctional family dynamics, struggling with people-pleasing, setting boundaries, or healing from generational trauma. My work is trauma-informed and often integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and attachment-based approaches.

In sessions, we’ll explore the patterns that no longer serve you, unpack past experiences that may still impact you today, and develop healthier ways to communicate, cope, and build relationships that feel safe and fulfilling. My goal is to help you heal, reclaim your sense of self, and create the life and relationships you deserve.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, you can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where your experiences are validated, and your growth is prioritized. My goal is to help you break free from unhealthy cycles, set boundaries with confidence, and build relationships that align with your values and emotional well-being.

Through our sessions, you’ll gain: A deeper understanding of how past experiences shape your current patterns, practical strategies to navigate difficult family dynamics and relationships, tools to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional triggers in a healthy way, Increased self-awareness, self-trust, and confidence in your decisions, the ability to set and maintain boundaries without guilt

I believe that healing isn’t just about insight, it’s about action. While we’ll explore past experiences, we’ll also focus on real, tangible steps to help you feel empowered in your daily life. My approach is compassionate, direct, and focused on helping you create lasting change.
