Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Allyson, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet with you.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or just in need of extra support? Do you find it challenging to understand your emotions or navigate your relationships? If so, you’re not alone, and I’m here to help.

I specialize in working with individuals of all ages to explore their feelings and thoughts, helping you focus on your long-term goals while navigating life’s ups and downs. My holistic approach addresses the needs of your mind, body, and spirit, ensuring that therapy is tailored to your unique strengths and needs.

I utilize an integrative approach, incorporating evidence-based interventions and techniques alongside creative and artistic elements. My training includes several modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT). I believe that engaging both sides of the brain can enhance positive change and improve your success in reaching your goals.

I understand that taking the step to seek help can be daunting. It’s completely normal to feel apprehensive about working with someone new or trying therapy again. However, you’re making a powerful choice for yourself, and you deserve this opportunity. You deserve a safe space to heal and to reach your fullest potential in life.

Let’s work together to help you become the best version of yourself!

My approach to therapy

I have dedicated my career to working with children and adolescents, recognizing that family plays a crucial role in their treatment. My goal is to help young clients better regulate and understand their emotions while also supporting parents in exploring strategies to improve their relationships and strengthen attachment.

I believe that therapy should serve as a temporary support, with a focus on building a natural support system that can sustain progress once therapy concludes. My aim is to equip you with the tools and strategies necessary to maintain the positive changes made during our sessions, ensuring that these changes are sustainable and aligned with your life’s needs.

I completed my doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, specializing in adolescent services. My experience spans all levels of care, allowing me to provide guidance on the best supports needed to achieve your desired outcomes while maintaining safety.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will take the time to explore the challenges that have led you to seek therapy. Together, we will discuss what has been working for you and identify your current support system. This collaborative approach will allow us to create meaningful treatment goals that empower you to live your life to the fullest and achieve the objectives you have for your therapy journey.
