Great to meet you!

Hello! I am Allyson and I have 9 years experience in the mental health field. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from the UC Santa Barbara and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Professional Clinical Counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute.

My work is rooted in trauma-informed care and shaped by my experience as a first-generation Filipino American. I offer a culturally sensitive, compassionate space where clients can feel seen, heard, and understood—especially those navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, and life transitions.

I support adults working through trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship challenges, betrayal trauma, emotional abuse, physical abuse, survivors of sexual assault, career transitions, academic stress, imposter syndrome, and experiences of discrimination. My approach is collaborative and grounded in connection. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can show up as you are and explore your experiences at your own pace.

My approach to therapy

I draw from person-centered, mindfulness-based practices, and where I believe it is the connection that heals. I offer advanced trauma-focused approaches like mindfulness-based stress reduction, EMDR, and Brainspotting. Together, we’ll work to process past experiences, shift unhelpful thought patterns, build coping tools, and strengthen your sense of clarity and resilience

My goal is to empower clients to move beyond survival mode - helping clients gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and create lasting, meaningful change

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic foundation. During this intake session, we will:

  • Gather general information and review your health history
  • Explore current concerns, symptoms, and life stressors
  • Discuss therapy guidelines, expectations, and goals
  • Begin creating a personalized plan tailored to your needs

This session also allows us to determine whether we are a good fit. If I believe another therapist or specialist would better support your needs, I will gladly provide a referral.
