Great to meet you!

Holding a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and Certified Advanced Graduate Studies with concentrations in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child and Family Therapy, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2009, and also a member of the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association.

As a psychotherapist with 20 years of experience working in clinical practice, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to fulfillment, happiness and stability in life. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change can be one of the hardest parts so Congratulations on taking that step.! I’ve been practicing for 20 years, but in the last decade, I have shifted my main focus to adolescents, young adults and adults who are struggling with anxiety and depression.

My approach to therapy

My focal areas of interest include anxiety and depression, relationship challenges, social development, family dynamics, mindful living, and cultivation of self-compassion. I draw from various theoretical perspectives relational, psychodynamic, developmental-contextual, and I incorporate evidence-based approaches, cognitive techniques and mindfulness into individualized treatment.

I strive to create a safe, compassionate, intelligent and collaborative therapeutic environment in which clients are free to explore their experiences, perspectives, personal identities, deeper meanings of their interpretations, through which they develop insight, find healing, improve interpersonal effectiveness and experience personal growth and empowerment. I respect and value the diversity of each client, focus on their unique social cultural context and through interactive, warm style with a focus on trust and openness I attain to build therapeutic relationships.

What you can expect from me

I typically start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story, your strengths, what meant for you to take the steps of seeking help, and what you hope to achieve in therapy.

I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing, and being vulnerable, while also feeling safe. My goal as a therapist is to start building trust from day one which lays at the foundation of our therapeutical alliance. From there, in the sessions that follow, we’ll work together as partners in your therapeutic journey to make these goals a reality for you, to find healing, to experience personal growth and empowerment.

If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!
