Great to meet you!

  • I bring over two decades of clinical experience alongside a deep, lived understanding of life's complexities. After serving as a military veteran and later returning to school at age 50 to complete my doctorate in psychology, I have spent my career working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction recovery, and major life transitions. Over the years, I have worked in diverse settings—from private practice and court evaluations to serving for nine years as a psychologist in a maximum-security facility. Beyond my professional credentials, I know firsthand what it takes to navigate hardship, rebuild, and persevere. My personal motto is "never give up," and my aim is to provide a grounded, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely understood, supported, and empowered to reclaim a sense of balance, purpose, and peace

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, solution-oriented, and tailored to the unique goals and values of each person. I integrate evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping), and Transpersonal Therapy.

Rather than just talking about problems, we focus on practical tools and actionable strategies you can immediately apply in daily life. Therapy is an active partnership: together, we examine unhelpful patterns, process unresolved wounds, cultivate resilience, and build lasting self-esteem so you can move forward with confidence and clarity.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is designed to be a comfortable, low-pressure conversation centered around your story, your current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. We will explore what brings you to therapy, clarify your priorities, and outline initial goals for our work together.

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about how I work, and decide if we are a good fit. By the end of our first meeting, you should expect to leave with a clearer roadmap of our direction forward, feeling heard, respected, and equipped with a sense of hope.
