Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Alyss, an LMFT who has spent years helping people move through life's biggest turning points: grief, big transitions, and questions of identity. I work closely with LGBTQIA+ and transgender clients, and with anyone processing trauma or rebuilding after loss. I'd love to hear your story

My approach to therapy

My approach blends EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy, so we can work with both the story your mind is telling and the patterns your body is still holding onto from a hard season. In session, that might mean gently reprocessing a memory that keeps resurfacing, examining thoughts that have started to feel like facts, or simply making room for a loss, a transition, or a part of your identity you're still working out how to hold. I bring a steady, warm presence and years of experience across private practice and community settings, and I meet you exactly where you are, no judgment, no rushing.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really just a conversation. I want to understand what brought you here, what's felt hard lately, and what you're hoping changes. There's no pressure to have it all figured out. Most people leave feeling like they've finally been able to exhale, and like they have a plan, even if it's just the first small step.
