Great to meet you!

I work with adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or dissatisfied with patterns in their lives or relationships. You do not need to already understand why those patterns exist. Part of our work can be figuring that out together. Many of my clients come in struggling with anxiety, relationships, family-of-origin issues, boundaries, identity, or recurring patterns they want to better understand and change. I am warm and supportive, but also direct and willing to challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

My approach to therapy

I want therapy to help you understand yourself more clearly and make meaningful changes in your life. We may look at current stressors, relationship patterns, past experiences, and the ways you have learned to cope or protect yourself. I tend to be active in session, so I will ask questions, offer observations, and gently challenge you when I notice patterns that may be getting in your way. I also use practical tools when they are helpful, but I do not believe therapy should feel like a checklist of techniques.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to understand what is bringing you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and what you hope will change. I will ask about your current concerns, relevant history, relationships, and patterns you may already be noticing. You do not need to have everything figured out before you come in. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of what we may be working on together and whether I feel like the right fit for you.
